last sunday, i went to lend my support to an initiative that was much needed in these times. cleaning up. sampah masyarakat, the brainchild of a spirited young lady, Syam kicked of its first mission after the annual Thaipusam, that like clockwork, leaves a huge amount of garbage every year. thier second mission was to clean up wesak day aftermath which was held last sunday.
i went alone as the idea of getting up early to go to brickfields and pick rubbish doesn't seem to entice anyone even when i try to wrap it up in a picnic like idea, or so...so by 7.30 am i was off the house. took the bus which was slow as usual n reached klcc at 9 am, the time the event was scheduled to start. and behold my luck the putra station was closed till 1oam for some maintainance work. i panicked. seriously i did. i thought all this effort to come here only to go back? almost wailed went the beacon of hope in the form of the bus came. took it and reached jalan silang 15 minutes later. rushed to the brickfields bustop near cm and managed to hop on the bus which was already moving. under normal circumstances, i would have never ever risked doin that! but that morning i did, don' ask me why, i just did. 10 minutes later i was already walking to wards the temple, frantically rembering the way to it.
saw the temple towers and just walked towards it, not bad for someone who last went there some 10 to 12 years back, by car , at night, crying the guts out. +_+ saw the people already sweeping and doin stuff,, the place almost clean, met the bubbly syam and got my offiial tee and work i did!
all in all it was a tiring day but i enjoyed it all long. except when some one called me "anne" and that some happens to look like an uncle. guess i should have shaved , which i still haven't out of pure laziness. saw a lot of peole, as usual, never talked except a fewhelos , enjoyed wwatching their antics, great day out to release my tension. definately will do it again, anytime! coz its easy bro!
